IELTS Speaking Sample Part 1 - TV Programs

Updated: Dec 15, 2023

1. What kinds of TV programs do you often watch?

To be honest, I don’t watch TV very often because I’m mostly busy throughout the day. However, there are still some interesting programs that I really enjoy during my leisure time such as game shows or sporting events.

2. Do you think kids are watching too much television?

Well, I think this trend is noticeable and also understandable. To be more exact, the content of many TV programs for kids today is highly diverse and fascinating, which can capture the children’s attention quite easily for such a long time.

3. What are the impacts of watching TV programs on children?

I believe that there are both positive and negative effects of watching TV programs on kids. On the one hand, educational and entertaining channels can help children expand their knowledge about various aspects of life as well as unwind . On the other hand, some intentionally offensive content can spoil a kid if he or she is regularly exposed to it.

4. What kinds of TV programs do you think should be broadcast more?

Well, I suppose that educational programs should be on air more because they can convey insightful lessons or messages that can prove valuable to a wide range of audiences, especially children and teenagers who are still in their formative years .
